FOUR talented gymnasts from Monarchs Acrobatic Gymnastics club in Highbridge, returned home from the weekend's National Competition thrilled with their achievements.
Alice Dymond, Natasha Stockham, Katie Hoskins and Ellie Petrie competed against British medalists from the recent World Championships at the Acrobatic Gymnastics 'Pat Wade Classic 2014' National Competition held in Stoke on Trent last weekend.
Over 240 gymnasts took part from 30 clubs around Great Britain, with visiting gymnasts from Germany and Switzerland competing to be ranked as some of the highest level gymnasts within the country.
Katie and Ellie competed in the 11-16 woman pairs category, and were running seventh out of a total of 18 partnerships following their balance and tempo routines, qualifying for the finals, where they achieved an outstanding fourth position overall with a finishing score of 26.600.
Alice and Natasha competed in the 12-18 woman pairs category and were running an outstanding fourth following their tempo and balance routine to qualify for the finals, where they achieved an amazing seventh overall for their combined routine.
All four girls demonstrated and performed their routines to an exceedingly high standard, delivering beautiful artistic routines with maximum difficulty balance and tempo moves.
