Burnham 2, Minehead 5
BURNHAM slipped to fifth in the table with another disappointing home defeat.
They went behind twice in the match but showed great character and commitment to drag themselves back into it.
However, each time they did, Minehead went up the other end and scored themselves.
Sarah Johnson scored the Blues first - getting on the end of a Caroline Hunt penalty corner to powerfully flick it in from her position on the post and make it 2-1 at half time.
Carly Bush made it 3-2 from another Hunt strike when she dived bravely in the D to sweep home the rebound.
Unfortunately GK Emma Ballard could do nothing about the visitor's goals, but kept the score from being even more with some excellent saves.
Chelsea Fisher was strong and commanding in defence and gave her all to keep her team in the match and Johnson went on to have a very good game too.
POM: Chelsea Fisher Burnham's last league match this year is on Saturday, away to Taunton Vale.
Last training session is December 8 and will start again on January 5.
