GARY Anderson fought back from 6-3 down to draw 6-6 with Peter Wright in the fourth round of Premier League Darts, staged in Berlin.

The Flying Scotsman, and Burnham-on-Sea resident, won the opening leg as he took out double top, and then added added a spectacular 150 for a 2-0 lead.

But then Wright came storming back, winning the next three legs.

Anderson followed that with seven perfect darts, before falling short of the nine-darter, but he still made it 3-3.

Wright raced into a 6-3 lead, but that only seemed to inspire the best out of Anderson.

A superb 69 narrowed the gap, and a clinical 83 gave him hope, at 6-5 down.

And, after Wright missed a dart at bullseye for the match, the Burnham man finished with a nerveless 86 to claim a well-deserved point.

Overall, Anderson managed five maximums to Wright's four, with an average of 105.25, and 86 per cent on the doubles.

Night five of the Premier League takes place next Thursday, March 1, at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter, with Anderson facing the reigning world champion Rob Cross.
