GEORGE Dockrell struck the winning runs to fire Ireland to a dramatic two-wicket victory over the UAE and keep Ireland's quarter-finals hopes alive.

The Somerset youngster - who had earlier taken 1-39 from seven overs as the UAE posted an imposing 278-9 from their 50 overs - finished 7 not out as Ireland crept home with four balls to spare.

Gary Wilson (80) and former Somerset all-rounder Kevin O'Brien (50) were the mainstays of the Ireland chase.
