Somerset Rebels 63, Sheffield Tigers 29
AFTER their superb away win at Owlerton last week, Garry May told his Rebels side that he expected no complacency for the return fixture against the Sheffield Tigers - and May’s men took heed of their manager’s call, and produced a totally dominant performance to put Sheffield to the sword in the most emphatic manner possible.
The Rebels team gave a powerful display, quite often coming from behind or on level terms at the start.
It was a performance that displayed their strength in depth, with everyone contributing to the cause.
Top of the pile in scoring terms, was skipper, Josh Grajczonek, who tallied 14-points. He was followed closely by the spectacular Charles Wright, who hit 12+1.
Meanwhile Brady Kurtz celebrated his elevation to ‘Number One’, with a paid maximum of 11+1, a feat also achieved by Paul Starke (9+3) and Kyle Howarth (10+2). The visitor’s top score came from Nick Morris, who posted 8-points.
