ONLY two of Bridgwater & District Sunday League teams made it through to the next round of the Somerset Cup with three more exiting at the second round stage.

Pawlett Rebels hit ten past Bath Spa Rovers without reply as braces from Darryl Taylor and Bart Ochim, and strikes from Adam Lawrence, Ryan Williams, Simon Coombes, Marcus Slade, Lee Turner and an own goal made up the scoring.

In Division 1, Highburn and Grasshoppers drew 4-4. Adam Lock’s hat-trick and one for Chris Palmer was cancelled out by two Les Pope penalties and one for Dan Saunders and Sam Weston.

In Division 2, North Petherton’s Jason Mantyk and Nahum Lang netted to ensure they beat Huntspill 2-1. Martin Lang also saved a penalty to see Pethy come away with all three points.
