TITANS boxer Sam Thomas had his first bout at Lister Hall, Dursley against Max Radford of Malmesbury ABC.
With the action under way Thomas, 13, took a cautious approach keeping at distance fending off his opponent with his crisp jabs.
The second round saw Thomas boxing off the back foot scoring with good counter punches.
During the round interval Coach Pete Stacey told Thomas to take the bout to his opponent and not to work off the back foot, which worked wonders with Thomas finishing the bout stronger.
The decision was in the judge's hands which they gave to Radford for his more aggressive approach in the early rounds, but great credit to Thomas in his first bout.
