UNITED are within striking distance of regaining the league title after keeping their unbeaten record intact after a convincing 5-1 victory over Cheddar.

The visitors got off to a flying start with a long distance free kick giving stand in goalkeeper McDermott no chance.

After a slow start Burnham started to find their feet and after a number of near misses went into half time 1-1 with Kidner making no mistake with a one-on-one with the keeper.

Burnham were in full gear and spent the whole second half camped in the Cheddar half of the pitch.

They were rewarded as Rosser continued his rich scoring form by netting twice.

Two further goals were scored before the end with a superb curling free keep from 30 yards from Harding and captain Hughes scoring a great individual goal.
