Good weekend for Burnham's swimmers

BURNHAM-on-Sea Swimming Club, whose base and six-lane training pool is Brean Splash, had a good weekend at the Somerset Development meet at Millfield School, Street, coming away with 11 medals, two club records and a number of personal bests.
Josie Dollery came first in the 15 and over 50m freestyle, second in the 50m backstroke and third in the 50m butterfly, and produced five personal bests.
Nathan Clarke gained a club record, first place and a personal best in the 200m freestyle, second place in the 100m breaststroke and 50m freestyle, and three third places in the 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle, along with four personal bests.
Ella Dollery came first in the 100m freestyle in a personal best and had another personal best time in the 200m freestyle.
Tom Dollery gained a club record, first place and a personal best in the 100m individual medley, and a personal best in the 200m freestyle.
The club congratulates Charlie Attwood for winning gold in the boys’ 100m breaststroke final at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht.
Charlie first learned to swim with the club before going to clubs in Bridgwater and Taunton to advance his career.
