BURNHAM United slumped to their seventh defeat of the season in a 3-1 defeat at struggling Castle Carey.

It was Cary's second win of the season and a result that sees Luke Hussey's side stay in 12th position in the Somerset County Division One.

Whitfield scored Burnham's only goal of the game and Hussey has further worries ahead of next week's local derby with Berrow - as Whitfield, Matt Scott and Ed Lamb have already been ruled out with injury and Steve Leaf is also said to be doubtful for the SFA Senior Cup clash.
