BURNHAM heads into the New Year well-set to launch a push for promotion into South West One West.
The Stags are sitting pretty in second place in Western Counties West, just three points behind leaders Ivybridge.
With 11 wins in 13 games so far this season and a victory over Bath University in the Somerset Cup, the campaign has been a glowing success and Burnham will be keen to push on for further honours in 2014.
They start the New Year with a home game against Devenport Services on January 4, before travelling to Tavistock the following week (January 11).
Then comes the crunch clash with Ivybridge on January 18, with the winners likely to take a strong hold on the division.
Tim Piper has been at the heart of Burnham's success, adding valuable points from the boot as well as scoring a number of tries.
