BERROW took the local bragging rights with a 1-0 victory over Bridgwater Town Reserves on Saturday.

Dave Keirle scored the winner for Berrow, who remain eighth in Somerset County Premier.

They travel to sixth-placed Minehead this weekend (March 15), looking to re-establish hopes of a top six finish.

Highbridge Town booked their place in the semi-finals of the Rowbarton Charity Cup with a 2-1 victory over Dulverton.

Chris Taylor bagged Highbridge’s first, while the second came courtesy of an own goal.

They will face the winners of Bridgwater Sports and Locomotives, which is to be played tomorrow night (Friday).

Highbridge return to league action next weekend (March 15) with a home game against Porlock – they currently sit top of Division One, level on points with Bridgwater Sports, with two games in hand.

Highbridge Town Reserves are still rock bottom of Division Three following a 2-1 defeat at table-topping Morganians.

Relegation now looks almost inevitable, with the Reserves nine points adrift of Galmington Dragons in ninth place – having played two games more.

They face another away fixture this weekend (March 15), with a trip to Alcombe Rovers Reserves.
