TIGER Old Boys and Red Tile went head to head for the second week in a row, this time to decide the destination of the Uxella Bridgwater & District Sunday League title, seven days after Tile had comprehensively won their Dave Hobbs Cup Final showdown.

This time it was a completely different story with the Tigers roaring back at Tile and deservedly winning 3-0 after two goals from Ian Bellinger and one from Rob White – meaning they complete their league campaign not only as the new champions but also undefeated.

It also marks a superb double league success for the Tiger Old Boys club after their reserves side clinched the Division Two title last weekend.

Wednesday evening had also seen a showdown in Division One to decide third and fourth place, as a strong Blake Old Boys side entertained a somewhat depleted Grasshoppers outfit at Mansfield Park.

Despite the Hoppers taking an early lead, Blake soon went at the visitors with gusto, eventually winning 11-4 thanks to a five goal salvo from Connor Watts, two from Jamie Evans and further strikes from Jody Bilton, Simon Newbury, Matt Godbeer and Chris Yates.

The Hoppers replied through two goals from Nick Brown and two from player-manager Dean Waghorn, who went up front for the final 15 minutes to score a brace in his final game before retirement.
