FRESH from booking their place in the Knockout Cup quarter-finals, the Somerset Rebels now turn their attentions to Premier League matters with the visit of the Redcar Bears to the Oaktree Arena tomorrow (Friday).

The Rebels have made a solid start to the defence of their Premier League Championship crown having picking up a point in each of the two away matches they have contested so far.

Somerset will welcome number one Nick Morris back to their ranks after he missed last Friday’s demolition of Workington due to his Elite League duties with Swindon - and therefore name a full one-seven to face Redcar on Friday night.

Somerset team manager Garry May said: “Obviously we want to get our home campaign in defence of our Premier League Championship crown off to the best possible start by taking all three points on Friday night.

"We have been in superb form at the Oaktree Arena in recent weeks having hit the 60 point mark in each of our last three home matches, but we cannot afford to rest on our laurels and will approach the visit of Redcar with the same professional attitude we give every match we contest.”
