BREAN captain elect Stuart Wills has been in excellent form this year and almost always features in the leading players in any event he enters.

On the first day of November, although it hardly felt like it, he picked up another trophy in the shape of the Bill Anderson Memorial with his superb gross 69 (one under par) equating to a nett 63.

This won him the Division One Medal as well as moving his handicap down into category one at five.

Runner-up in the top flight was club champion Steve Bateman with a nett 68.

The course was in top condition for the time of year and scoring was low.

The Division Two winner David Hunter with a 64, ending only one shot behind Wills in the overall result.

Hunter beat Mel Brown by a single shot also to secure the Medal for the month.

Division Three had the largest winning margin of the day as Mike Smith's nett 65 was 6 clear of second place finisher Mo Sanders.

Smith's card also included two of the ten two's that were scored on the day.

Current club captain Paul Jones denied his captain elect Wills a weekend double as he took both the Sam Smalldon Memorial Trophy and Division One of the Monthly Stableford the following day.

His 39 points was one ahead of Wills and moved his own handicap back down into single figures.

Paul's Uncle Eric also was a winner as he took the Division Three award with 36 ahead of Mo Sanders who did complete a double over the weekend but this time it was for two runners up finishes.

Tony Higgins was the Division Two victor with 35 ahead of Ian Adams on 34.
