IN the second round of the Highbridge & District Skittles League four-a-side competition last week, Rafascals A skittler Ollie Barnes had a fourth hand 26 double flopper at the Ritz Social Club, and along with two more spares he finished with 87 – enough to give them a three-pin victory over Crown Criminals A, for whom Rob Pomeroy top scored with 77.
Rafascals B also made it into the next round as they defeated Crown Criminals B by 16 pins.
Robins A defeated Tryer’s A by a single pin at the Crown Inn, Chris Organ topping the board with 69.
Tryer’s B got their revenge as they defeated Robins B by 43 pins at the same venue, Wayne Lonsdale topping the board with 79.
Both matches at the Pawlett Pavillion were separated by two pins, Odds & Ends A defeating Railway Burtle A by two pins and Home Guard B defeating Nobby’s One B.
Henry Bigwood rattled up 73 at Highbridge Social Club as Bellends A saw off Misfits A by ten pins, and Rouges B were 15 pins to good for Misfits B.
