Somerset Division Two Cup
Burnham Utd Res 1, Clevedon Utd Res 7
FOUR goals in the last 20 minutes condemned Burnham a heavy cup defeat at home to Clevedon on Saturday.
Trailing 3-1 at half-time with Alec Wilkins scoring the Burnham goal, the hosts performed well for much of the second-half, keeping possession for long periods. But they were unable to keep at that level and ran out of steam, allowing Clevedon to net four times in the closing quarter.
Steve Worthington and Daniel Giblett put in notable performances for the home side.
On Saturday, Burnham Reserves entertain Combe St Nicholas in Division 2W (ko 2.30pm).
