LIGHTBULBS kept the top spot in the Burnham, Highbridge & District Ladies’ Skittles League’s Premier Division with an eight-pin victory over Country Girls at the Wellington Arms.
Nitwits, in second place, also took their match by eight from Hotshots. Blinders and Maybee’s are now joint third. In an extremely close game at the Orchard Inn, Blinders won by a pin against Pin Ups, while Maybee’s defeated Eight Belles by a good margin. The biggest defeat came at the hands of Crown Jewels who took the match from Bristols by exactly 100, earning them much-needed points.
In Division 1, Cannonballs and Victoria Vixens jointly hold the lead.
At the George Hotel, Cannonballs took the match by seven from Young Ones and Victoria Vixens proved far too strong for Berrow Club B winning the match by over 80.
Berrow Breezers are third, level on eight points but have played a game more than the leaders after they saw off Nightmares at Berrow Club.
A low-scoring game at Crossways saw home team Wotsits run out winners against Wayward Wanderers.
Berrow Club B and Triards are at the bottom on four points.
Wanderers took over at the top of Division 2 after playing Burnham Utd and winning by 25.
Joining Burnham Utd in second place are Applecatchers, who took the game from Coopers Boozers.
Coasters also gained some much needed points as they beat Pawlett Legion and Bombers celebrated again as they won by 18 at the Railway Inn against Old Railway, pointless at the bottom are Red Devils who had a bye this week
