Sedgemoor 2

Burnham 11, Weston II 3

BURNHAM’S final home match of the season was another exciting and high clash, dominated by winger Kerry Harvey.

She opened the scoring early on with two superb individual goals before WSM were gifted an own goal through Tracey Dunn.

This did not deter them though and strike partner Amy Edmundson got in on the act as she got on the end of a fizzing cross from Sarah Johnson for the third.

Edmundson's second came courtesy of a nice move from back to front involving Chelsea Fisher, Johnson and assist queen Carly Bush.

Bush set up Caroline Hunt for the 5th from a long corner which led to a scramble in the D where Hunt pounced to push the ball deliberately into the corner away from the GK.

With 5-1 at half time Burnham continued to dominate the second half.

Bush fed a ball into the D for Edmundson to crack home for her hat trick before WSM pulled another back from a short.

Hunt got her second after more good work from Bush who was unlucky not to score herself.

WSM pulled another back and BOS GK Vicky Morley had to make a double save to stop them gaining some more momentum.

Fisher and Jenna Bushell helped out their GK by blocking the next few corners and making some vital interceptions and normal service was again restored.

Harvey combined well with Lauren Cooke who had a good game, to notch her hat trick and her understanding with Edmundson was evident to see.

They passed and moved their way up the pitch to create another goal for Edmundson and Johnson provided Edmundson's fifth with another cracking cross.

Harvey wrapped up the game with her fourth after more unselfish play from Bush.

Burnham’s final match of season is away to White Eagles on Saturday, 10am KO.
