HUNTSPILL & District II made a winning start to the 2015 season, as they eased to a 114-run victory over Cranmore II in Division 9NW of the Somerset Cricket League.
J Peace (58) and S Cavill (46no) helped post an imposing 267-5, while Cranmore could only muster 153-6.
In Division 8N, Lympsham II hammered Wedmore II by 105 runs thanks to 88no from S Bruce – R Gamlin finished 98no for Wedmore as they failed to chase down 324-7.
In Division Five, East Huntpsill lost out to Peasedown St John by seven wickets, despite a masterful 151 not out from Rob Pomeroy.
In Division Four, Wedmore were bowled out for just 68 in their 66-run defeat to Trull – and in Division Three, Huntspill & District fell nine runs short of Street II as C Slack struck an unbeaten 121.
