HIGHBRIDGE town are up to fourth in Somerset Division Two West following a 5-2 victory over Weston St Johns on Saturday.

The win is Town’s third of the season and sees them bounce back from last weekend’s remarkable 6-4 defeat at the hands of Cheddar.

They travel to Chard Town Reserves in round two of the Somerset Senior Cup on Saturday, before travelling to Saltford in the Second Division Cup the following weekend.

Burnham United Reserves suffered a 4-1 defeat at home to Kewstoke Lions to leave them rock bottom of the table.

Joe Selway scored United’s only goal and they host Clevedon United Reserves on Saturday.

In Division Two of the Weston and District League, Berrow Reserves were beaten for the third consecutive week, as they were thrashed 6-0 by Westend at Red Road.

Their poor run of form comes on the back of a 6-0 win in the opening game of the season.

Berrow are away at Yatton Athletic Reserves on Saturday before hosting Congresbury reserves the following week.

Elsewhere in the division, Wedmore lost 4-2 at home to league leaders KVFC, who take on Wrington Redhill Reserves this weekend.

In Division Five, Wedmore Reserves were beaten for the first time this season, as they went down 5-2 at lowly St Pauls Church.

The reserves welcome Wrington Redhill A to the Recreation ground on Saturday.
