BURNHAM and Berrow golfer, Taylor Stote has been selected in a squad of four teenagers to represent England in the French International Boys’ Championship at Omaha Beach from March 24-28 .
The championship starts with two rounds of stroke play qualifying and the top 32 players will qualify for the matchplay for the Michel Carlhian Trophy. The next 16 players aged U16 qualify for a consolation matchplay.
A Nations Cup event is played over the qualifying rounds, with the best two scores counting each day, and England will be represented in this by Benson, Fitzpatrick and Stote.
Stote, 16 was another member of the England U16 team for the home internationals.
He had a string of consistently high finishes in last year’s major U16 events and won the individual event at the South West boys’ county qualifying.
