Clevedon United 2 Berrow 7

RYAN Stiles scored a hat-trick as Berrow ensured their Premier Division survival with an emphatic win at Clevedon United on Saturday.

Jordie Eldridge (2), Warren Mylum and Steve Leaf completed the scoring for Berrow, who survive the drop on goal difference.

Berrow were on top from the start of this game and having hit woodwork a couple of times, Stiles scored a quick-fire brace to open up a 2-0 lead.

Eldridge chipped home for number three shortly before half-time, and early in the second half, Mylum converted to make it 4-0.

Eldridge's second made it five, before Clevedon United's Russ Gregory pulled one back for his side.

But Stiles quickly wiped that out with Berrow's fifth to complete his hat-trick, and Leaf put them in seventh heaven in the dying minutes.

United though, fought until the very end and scored a second courtesy of a Mitch Trainer penalty.

Anything other than win would have seen Berrow relegated, with Dundry Athletic winning 3-1 at basement side Cutters Friday.
