HAVING notched up a vital victory on Saturday, Burnham-on-Sea face a tough trip this weekend as they travel to Cullompton, who are second in the Western Counties West standings.
They will travel with no fear, however, having upset the odds in the reverse fixture with a 31-8 win when the two sides met in November at Stoddens Road.
Burnham’s win over relegation rivals Crediton opened up a five-point gap between themselves and the two sides below them, while they are now eight points ahead of bottom side Wellington.
Another win on Saturday could well see them leapfrog Tiverton and climb into the top 10 as well as further easing any relegation fears.

THE 2nd XV’s scheduled game away to Martock in Somerset 2 South was cancelled by their hosts on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch.
This coming weekend the seconds – currently sitting fourth in the table – are at home to Somerton, who are four places below them in eighth.
