BURNHAM & Berrow’s Mimi Rhodes has won the Under-16s trophy at the Scottish Under-18 Girls Open at Montrose Golf Links.
The championship itself was won in runaway style by Germany’s Hannah Karg, who romped home with a round of 12 under par that saw her finish comfortably ahead of the rest of the field.
Karg’s nearest challengers were Shannon McWilliam (Scotland) and Hollie Muse (West Lancashire), who were both 10 shots back having finished on two-under.
Rhodes was three-over par for the 54-hole championship, but her score was good enough to secure her the Under-16s competition by four shots.
The youngster started with a scrambling 77 but then controlled the ball well to add scores of one-under 72 and 73 to an impressive round that continues her good form.
