BERROW can climb off the bottom of the Somerset County League Premier Division on Saturday if they manage to spring a surprise against third-placed Shirehampton (ko 3pm).

Having drawn 2-2 with champions Watchet on Saturday, Berrow will need to take advantage of the first of their two games in hand to overtake Yatton Athletic and start to narrow the gap to third-bottom Clevedon United, who currently sit five points ahead.

Elsewhere, Burnham United bring the curtain down on their Division 1W season as they host Street Reserves knowing that they are guaranteed eighth place regardless of the outcome.

The two teams drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture, so another tight game is likely to be on the cards on Saturday.

In the same division, Highbridge Town round off their campaign with a home match against seventh-placed Uphill Castle.

The hosts will have to settle for 10th whether they win, lose or draw in their season finale, which remarkably is their first home match since January.

The two teams met just two weeks ago in a match which Uphill Castle won 2-1.

Third plays second in Division 2 of the Weston & District League as Wedmore welcome Westend.

Unfortunately for the hosts, there is no chance of them claiming the runners-up spot as four points separate the sides going into what is Wedmore’s last match of the season.
