BURNHAM-on-Sea RFC held their annual club presentation night and welcomed a big turnout of players and supporters.

The Herd Cup first team player of the year award went to Sam Lewis, with the most improved player nod going to Tom Stevens.

Players’ player went jointly to Luke Gowan and Sam Lewis, while most promising player for the 1st XV was Brandon Pettitt.

Other award winners were as follows: 

1st XV captain’s award: Russ Pike; 2nd XV team captain’s award: Tim Piper; 2nd XV players’ player: Ryan Beard; Colts team player: Lewis Crosby; Colts captain’s player: Mitchell Kingston; Colts players’ player: Scott Havercroft.

Team of the Year: the Development squad; Development Squad players’ player: Ashley Cutter.

Clubman of the year: Chris Jones. 

Life membership was given to Alan House, who played his last match for the club at the end of the season having provided long-term playing, membership and family support of the club over the last 30 years.

The AGM is on Sunday, June 11, at 11am.
