NEWLY-MERGED Berrow & Highbridge start their Somerset County League Division 1 West season away to Churchill Club 70 on Saturday, August 12 (3pm).

They then host local rivals Burnham United on Tuesday, August 15 (6.30pm) and take on Weston St John on Saturday, August 19 (3pm).

They follow that with an away match against Street Reserves (August 23, 7.30pm), before entertaining Clevedon United Reserves (August 26, 3pm).

The team have already faced Somerset County Premier side Middlezoy Rovers in a friendly match last week, losing 6-1, and this Saturday they host Wells City Reserves.

Berrow & Highbridge Reserves' Somerset County Division 2 campaign begins at home to Stockwood Green Reserves on August 12 (3pm).

That game is followed by two away fixtures, versus Draycott (August 19, 3pm) and Yatton & Cleeve United Reserves (August 26, 3pm).

BURNHAM United get their Somerset County League Division 1 West campaign underway at home to Congresbury on Saturday, August 12 (3pm).

The aforementioned derby at Berrow & Highbridge follows, and they then entertain Combe St Nicholas (August 19, 3pm) and Uphill Castle (August 22, 6.30pm) before travelling to Churchill Club 70 on August 26 (3pm).

United have had a busy pre-season schedule already, drawing 1-1 at home to Somerset County Premier Staplegrove last Tuesday (Jordie Eldridge scoring for the hosts) and losing 3-2 against Western League Cheddar, with Harry Penfold and Matt Scott netting as part of a fine team performance.

This week, on Tuesday, they won 3-1 against Wrington Redhill, another Somerset Premier side, thanks to goals from Scott, Eldridge and Elliot Lamb.

On August 5, United host Stockwood Wanderers at Cassis Close (ko 3pm).

Burnham United Reserves - who are seeking a manager - begin their Division 2 season with two away matches.

They go to Cheddar Reserves on August 12 (3pm) and Pensford on August 19 (3pm), before hosting Nailsea United Reserves on August 26 (3pm).
