Jason Doyle doubt for Sheffield clash with suspected broken jaw Jason Doyle doubt for Sheffield clash with suspected broken jaw

THE 'Cases' Somerset Rebels were hit with the news that their captain, Jason Doyle, suffered a suspected broken jaw whilst riding in Poland yesterday, which, if confirmed, would see him sidelined from action as the Rebels head into the Premier League Play-Offs.

Doyle is returning to the UK today when he will have an x-ray which will reveal the full extent of the injury, and the time span, if any, he might expect to be out of action as a consequence.

“Obviously, if confirmed, this is a big blow to our Championship ambitions,” said Rebels promoter Debbie Hancock, “all we can do at this stage of things though is to cross our fingers and hope that the x-rays show that there is no break and that Doyley will be back riding for us sooner rather than later.”
