TEAM Lick Racing from Highbridge were competing at Castle Combe last weekend for the NGRRC event.

This being a new track to the team, Dean Nicholls and Ashley Moore, were aware of how fast and uneven the track would be. First practice saw quite a few Sidecar Teams new to the circuit and practice.

Nicholls and Moore were mainly following others and learning which way the circuit went in what proved to be the bumpiest circuit the QEH Systems backed outfit had been to. They started race one from 12th place but planned to change this position quickly.

They got a good start and the race was close. Nicholls and Moore chased down a few outfits and battled to the end, managing to secure fourth place after seven hard fought laps. This showed an improvement in the Highbridge Motortech Outfit of four seconds off the morning's practice time.

For race two, they started on the second row of the grid. Another good start saw Team Lick Racing battling from the off. They held on in second but three laps in they were overtaken by another outfit and after eight laps the team took another second from the morning finishing in third place and posting a 1.23.55 lap.

Their next meeting is this weekend at Snetterton, competing in the BMCRC and the ACU/FSRA British Sidecar Championship.
