Burnham Infants get hands on at Avenue Tennis club sessions

YOUNGSTERS from Burnham Infants honed their tennis skills this week with coaches from Avenue Tennis Club.

The school have been promoting tennis to their budding Andy Murray's by organising the taster sessions and head coach Vinny Duddy said it helps to improve the children's basic skills.

He added: “The sessions help with improving their ball reception, sending and coordination skills, which will not only develop their tennis but will help with their development in other sports too.”

The club will be running junior tournaments for Mini Red (under eight's) and Mini Orange (eight to nine year olds) on Sunday, September 30 from 11am and 1pm. Anyone wishing to enter should contact the club on 01278-782758.
