THE Ladies suffered their first defeat during a much more closely fought game than the scoreline suggests.

They started very brightly and created several goal scoring chances, with Alannah Frost and Carly Bush going close, before going behind against the run of play.Kerry Harvey was causing the home defence all sorts of problems with her mazy runs to the by line but the Blues could not get on the end of her super crosses.

Both Frost and Tracey Dunn had shots saved from penalty corners and Chelsea Fisher and Louise Peace got themselves into some good positions as they strived to support their forwards.BOS fielded their new young keeper Jade Hide for the first time and she went onto make several good instinctive saves as her confidence grew.

Unfortunately, 3 goals down at the interval gave BOS too much to do in the second half and they didn't get any luck that some of their play deserved.Player of the match: Tracey Dunn, sponsored by The Rosewood PH. On Saturday, the team are at home to White Eagles at 10am.
