Robert Webb will be David Mitchell's best man
David Mitchell has said there's no pressure on his comedy partner Robert Webb to be funny when he makes his best man's speech at his wedding.
Comedian and panellist David is set to marry writer and presenter Victoria Coren next month.
Robert, who shot to fame with David in Peep Show, will be the best man.
Asked whether he'd be giving the star, who made David best man when he tied the knot in 2007, any tips about what to include in the speech, he said: "I'd much rather he didn't offend anyone than worry too much about being funny."
David, who wrote about his love for Victoria in his autobiography, says he's smitten with his fiancee.
"She's clever, funny, beautiful. I think she's amazing. She's brilliant at what she does," he said.
"For three years I thought about her all the time, and I still do but in a much happier way. I get to spend all my time with her and she is the most fun person to be with. That makes me incredibly happy.
"I didn't know whether I was built to be in a couple and finding that I am is tremendous.
"Life is a lot less bewildering and stressful when there's someone to talk to who you know will back you up whatever happens."
David Mitchell: Back Story is published by HarperCollins, priced £20. Available now.
