Daniel Craig has shot down reports that the next Bond film will be a two-parter.

It was recently suggested that Bond 24 and Bond 25 would be penned by Skyfall scriptwriter John Logan to tell a single story.

But the 007 star told Filmstarts that filming a single story over two films would be impossible.

"No, I don't know where that's come from," he said.

"It's impossible to do a two-parter... We can only do one at a time, they take six months to shoot. You can't write one movie kind of thinking about the next.

"All we're trying to do at the moment is get the next one sorted out, and that will stand alone, and if I'm able I'll do another one after that."

His comments came as Skyfall smashed UK records to give it the biggest opening weekend in 007 film history.
