Joan Rivers joked that she could get beheaded in London
Joan Rivers will be among a host of high-profile acts performing at the Prince's Trust comedy gala.
The comedy extravaganza, taking place at the Royal Albert Hall on November 28, will raise funds for the youth charity's work with disadvantaged young people across the UK.
"I am thrilled that at my age - three years after death - I am able to help disadvantaged young people get their lives back on track," the US comedian said.
"This event promises to be spectacular in spite of my being one of the acts. I can't wait to make a fool of myself in support of the Prince's Trust.
"Do they still behead people in London for being a smart ass?"
Other names performing at the gala include Rowan Atkinson, Jimmy Carr, Miranda Hart, Stephen K Amos, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Omid Djalili, Milton Jones, Patrick Kielty, Helen Lederer, Jon Culshaw and E4 comedy trio The Midnight Beast.
Ben Elton, creative director of the show, will be hosting and there will also be a contribution from Dame Edna Everage.
