Cyrus, Hemsworth talk things over?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are reportedly talking things over following rumours they have split.

The former Hannah Montana star and the Hunger Games actor - who got engaged last year - were reported to have broken up earlier this month after going through a rocky patch, and Liam jetted home to his native Australia while Miley stayed in LA.

But it seems they could be about to rekindle their romance as a source has told Us Weekly that the pair are still communicating, explaining: "Miley and Liam are talking. But he needed a beat."

The couple have not commented on the rumours about them splitting.

However, Miley, 20, did take to Twitter a couple of weeks ago when reports their romance was on the rocks first emerged, and denied she had cancelled their wedding.

"I am so sick of LA. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining," she tweeted. The singer later added: "Not discussing anything but my music from now on."

Liam, 23, proposed to Miley with a 3.5 carat diamond ring last year. They began dating in 2009 after starring together in love story The Last Song.
