Hairdresser Nicky Clarke is the first celebrity to be eliminated from Channel 4's ski challenge show The Jump.
The stylist battled it out on the ski jump with Five singer Ritchie Neville after the pair produced the slowest times in a slalom ski competition against their fellow male contestants.
Despite staying on his feet to complete the smallest K15 jump, Clarke's distance of 9.5 metres was beaten by the boyband star's 11-metre jump - forcing the hair guru out of the show.
After the results were revealed, Clarke, 55, told presenter Davina McCall: "It's been a great experience, it really has. It's just one of those things.
"I did the best that I could, maybe not in my slalom, but apart from that. It's been great fun."
Six male celebrities kicked off the first episode of The Jump in Austria tonight.
Five-time Olympic rowing champion Sir Steve Redgrave topped the leaderboard in a slalom ski contest, ahead of comedian Marcus Brigstocke, cricketer Darren Gough - who was shown crashing in a rehearsal on the ski jump - and fashion journalist Henry Conway.
The Jump returns to TV screens tomorrow when the show's female contestants including former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, presenters Anthea Turner and Melinda Messenger - will compete in a skeleton competition.
