Coldplay have unveiled details of their sixth album, to be called Ghost Stories, as they released the first single to be taken from it.
The band made track Magic available this morning, the first new material to go on sale from the nine-track album which will come out on May 19.
The quartet's last album Mylo Xyloto came out in October 2011 and was followed by a lengthy world tour.
The cover artwork for Ghost Stories was posted on the band's website to accompany the announcement and it features a pair of angel's wings with sketched figures contained within.
Last week Coldplay surprised fans by posting the video for another new track, Midnight, on YouTube. It also features on the album.
The group are expected to debut their new songs at the iTunes Festival at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, on March 11.
