Strictly Come Dancing's stars have already put their bids in for who they would love to see take part in the next series.

The BBC celebrity dancing contest's presenter Sir Bruce Forsyth and professional dancers Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff said they had in mind who they would like to see take to the dancefloor even though the show doesn't launch again until the autumn.

Robin, whose partner last time was Deborah Meaden, said: "If the BBC want to blow their entire budget on one person, I'd take Beyonce any day."

Kristina, who has partnered John Sergeant, Joe Calzaghe and Jason Donovan, added: "Prince Harry, I think."

Brucie revealed his dream contestant: "Boris Johnson I think would be marvellous. If we could get him tripping the light fantastic, it would be great. I wouldn't mind giving him lessons myself."

On whether Sir Bruce, 86, would be back to present again this year, Robin said: "He's an institution. All this talk about how long has he got left - Bruce is what Strictly is about, really. He's been there since the beginning, he's a national treasure and when he wants to go, he'll go."

Sir Bruce, just back from three months in Puerto Rico with wife Wilnelia Merced, said: "I'm jet-lagged, I went from Puerto Rico to LA, that's a nine-hour trip, and then we came from LA to here which is a 10-hour trip.

"So when I calm down a bit I will then think about it and will see what's in the melting pot."

Strictly Come Dancing won in the best entertainment or comedy category at the BPG Awards 2014, sponsored by Discovery Channel and held at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
