Boyzone's Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy has told of their pleasure at seeing fans of all ages enjoy their music in London's Hyde Park.

The boyband - Ronan Keating, 37, Duffy, 39, Lynch, 38 and Mikey Graham, 41 - played the main stage at Barclaycard British Summer Time's Family Day.

Lynch said before going on stage: "It feels really good. It's a relatively good day to the point where the sun isn't splitting the sky, so no one's getting burned out there which is always a good thing, and the rain has stayed off. It's good to be here. I think '99 was the last time Boyzone played in Hyde Park, Party in the Park as it was, and it's great to be back."

Duffy added: "It's been pretty amazing actually, because 21 years in the business and the type of band we are we're still very fortunate and appreciative to still be doing it. We see familiar faces in the audience of fans we've played to over the years. You see they're there with their mothers and their kids. It's good to see we've got the same fans but they've just grown."

And the lads admitted they would be staying on to watch headline act Sir Tom Jones.

Lynch said: "Tom's an amazing, amazing performer, we're going to stick around and watch him."

X Factor winning girl band Little Mix took to the main stage earlier in the afternoon.

Jesy Nelson said: "We're so excited, it's great to be here, the weather is lovely and we're ready to rock and roll."

The girls also admitted they are big Tom Jones fans, and warmed up for their act singing some of his hits including Sex Bomb.
