Strictly Come Dancing contestant Dani Harmer has revealed her secret weapon for coping with criticism on the show - her mum.
The former Tracy Beaker actress has teamed up with dance pro Vincent Simone for the new series of the BBC One show, and is bracing herself for criticism from judge Craig Revel Horwood.
She confessed: "Craig has such a sharp tongue. Vincent's told me to just ignore him, so I won't give anything back.
"But the Italian stallion on the other hand, he might bite. I'm just going to keep my mouth closed - unless he says anything really out of order, then I'll get my mum on him!"
Dani is hoping to harness some support from Tracy Beaker fans.
The former child star, 23, said: "I am honestly hoping every single child in the country lifts up that telephone!
"I'm absolutely loving every minute of it. Vincent is the best dance partner anyone could ask for, he's teeny tiny and he's just so full of energy, he's awesome.
I think we spend more time giggling than we do dancing which probably isn't that good."
But the star admitted training was proving painful.
"My feet are on fire, they feel like they've got hearts in them, they just throb constantly, I've got blisters and all sorts, they're not pretty," she said.
