Drake revealed that he recently got his high school diploma
Drake has revealed he is thrilled to have finally earned his high school diploma.
The Canadian rapper dropped out of high school to star in the TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation, but told the crowd at a show this week that he took a small break from music and "spent some time going back to high school".
The 25-year-old added with excitement: "I got my high school diploma!"
Drake - who posted on Twitter that he earned 97 per cent on his final exam through work with a private tutor - spoke as he was performing at an event at New York's Capitale.
The bash was Tyra Banks' first annual Flawsome Ball for The Tyra Banks TZONE Foundation, her organisation aimed at developing confidence in girls.
The Grammy-nominated musician performed hits like Best I Ever Had, Find Your Love and The Motto. He dedicated his song Make Me Proud to supermodel Tyra.
Rosario Dawson, Clay Aiken and Estelle also attended the gala event.
