Simon Cowell is reportedly seeing F1 star Jenson Button's former fiancee Louise Griffiths.

The X Factor mogul, 53, is said to have enjoyed dates with the 34-year-old English singer, model and actress, who is also based in Los Angeles.

The Sun reports that the pair have met and kissed a few times, with Simon inviting Louise to his recent birthday celebrations in Beverly Hills.

A friend of Louise's told the newspaper: "She and Simon have started to get very close. It is early days but there is certainly a chemistry between them."

Former Fame Academy contestant Louise dated Jenson for five years but the pair called off their engagement in 2005.

After reports of her romance with Simon emerged, she tweeted: "Holy s#*! This is gonna be a crazy day."
