THERE are just over two weeks to go before a rip-roaring night of storming Irish folk-fuelled action at the Railway Hotel, Burnham.

Tickets are still available to see globally renowned London Irish rockers Neck perform their energetic set of glorious high-tempo anthems on Saturday, April 12.

Dubbed as the pioneers of Psycho-Ceilidh Rock, Neck have been wowing audiences with their raucous sets from Moscow in front of 7,000 people to Glastonbury, where they have performed five times and are the only band to have played it as many times as Tony Benn and Billy Bragg.

Their anti-racist single Everybody's Welcome to the Hooley! entered the UK Top 100 chart in March 2006 and featured strongly a New York's Irish Voice Top Ten releases chart which included U2 and Sinead O'Connor.

Back on the Tracks magazine are quoted as saying "If The Clash had been born in the Emerald Isle, they might have ended up sounding like Neck" which is high acclaim indeed.

Make no mistake - with their roots, understanding and command of music, Neck is most certainly the real deal when it comes to proper Irish, folk-fuelled punk.

Neck are a riot from start to finish. If you miss them at the Railway on Saturday, April 12, you are missing out on a real party because, for Neck, everyday is St Patrick's Day.

Tickets for Neck are priced at £5 and are available from The Railway on 01278-784828. For more information, visit www.therailwaybos.co.uk or www.neck.ie for more information on the band.

The Weekly News has pair tickets to give away to see Neck. To be in with a chance, just answer this question:Which of these bands have Neck supported live?
