BEES perform modern fairytale with Christmas twist
 |
| Prince Charming and Cinderella star in a modern take of the fairytale |
A FAIRYTALE with a festive twist comes to The Princess Theatre in Burnham this Friday December 14, courtesy of the Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society.
Cinders and Carols will feature a spoof show of the classic tale Cinderella in the first half, followed by traditional Christmas carols in the second.
The action takes place in court where a fairy godmother argues the case for the traditional Cinderella story, while her sister argues for a modern touch to the tale.
After the two sides have been heard the audience will be given the opportunity to vote for the outcome.
The group will then lead a burst of traditional Christmas songs and carols to increase the seasonal spirit.
Organiser Sandy Ballentyne said: "For several years we have been putting on a carol concert at this time of year but we wanted to do something a little bit different this year. What could be more seasonal than something based on panto?"
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are £5 for adults and £4 for concessions and includes complimentary refreshments.
