Council hyped collection cost

I THINK it is a fair assumption that most people residing in the SDC area are concerned with the state of the environment, most of which is council lead. To this end the SDC have provided us with green bins for garden waste.

I ask how the council think that they can encourage us to save the waste when they hyped the collection cost by an outrageous increase in cost of 40%.

I suspect most people will rightly complain, but will pay the increase, but a minority will withdraw and their waste will either be placed in the bottom of ordinary household waste bins or bags, but in some cases fly tipped.

If this happens then the council will only have themselves to blame!
