SKUSE Terry Dear dad to Tina & Martin - dear grandad to Emma & Sam was taken by ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital very late on the night of Friday 8th May (VE Day) from Priory Court Nursing Home, Burnham On Sea, where Terry had lived for the last 2 years. Terry had Covid 19. Tragically this awful virus took over Terry's body and he sadly died of Covid 19 on the afternoon of Monday 11th May 2020 aged 81 years. Under these circumstances I am sorry to say that only a small number of people would be permitted to attend Dad's cremation, all of whom would have to be socially distanced etc, because of this we have decided that just my brother and I will attend Dad's cremation which will be at Stretcholt Crematorium on Friday 29th May at 11.00am. We will be leaving with Dad from Millard & Son, Springfield Road, Highbridge at 10.10am. From there we will drive to East Avenue to pass by the house where Dad lived with Mum for over 50 years, then back through Highbridge, Market Street and Walrow onto and through East Huntspill where Dad grew up, from there up Withy Road onto the crematorium. Should anyone want to stand socially distanced anywhere along the above route to pay their respects to Dad our family would very warmly welcome that. Dad's ashes will be taken to and respectfully kept in a casket with R. Millard & Son, Highbridge until such times when we are 'all' able to be together without social distancing etc. We will then hold a memorial service for Dad followed by a wake and celebration of dad's life. We will announce the date and time of this here in The Weekly News and on Social Media. Thank you so much for all of your messages, phone calls, flowers, cards & kindness. It means such a lot at this very sad time. Tina x
