THE SEDGEMOOR DISTRICT COUNCIL NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 7 OF SCHEDULE 14 The Sedgemoor District Council (Footpath BW23/71 (in part) in the parish of North Petherton) Public Path Diversion Order 2019 On the 28th August 2019, the Sedgemoor District Council confirmed the above order.

On the 28th August 2019, the Sedgemoor District Council confirmed the above order.

The effect of the order, as confirmed, is to divert the public footpath, running from part of footpath ref BW 23/71 in the parish of North Petherton from point A (Nat Grid Map Ref. 328706 135299) at Lotus Drive, Bridgwater, TA5 2GD in a generally south easterly direction to point B (Nat Grid Map Ref 328731 135281), a distance of approximately 31 metres, then from point B in a generally south westerly direction to point C (Nat Grid Map Ref. 328730 135279), a distance of approximately 2 metres, then from point C in a generally south easterly direction to point D (Nat Grid Ref. 328750135266), a distance of approximately 24 metres, then from point D in a generally south south east direction to point E (Nat Grid Ref. 328755 135254), a distance of approximately 13 metres, then from point E in a generally south south westerly direction to point F (Nat Grid Ref 328696 135095), a distance of approximately 171 metres, then from point F in a generally southerly direction to point G (Nat Grid Ref 328689135027), a distance of approximately 65 metres and create an alternative footpath to a line running from the said From point A (Nat Grid Ref 328706 135299) on footpath ref BW 23/71 at Lotus Drive, Bridgwater, TA5 2GD, in a generally south westerly direction to point H (Nat Grid Map Ref. 328692 135285), a distance of approximately 21 metres. There will be a gap in the hedge at point H1. Then from point H in a generally south south westerly direction to point I (Nat Grid Map Ref. 328681 135246), a distance of approximately 51 metres, then from point I in a generally south south westerly direction to point J (Nat Grid Ref 328677 135240), a distance of approximately 7 metres, then from point J in a generally west north westerly direction to point K (Nat Grid Ref 328672 135242), a distance of approximately 5 metres, then from point K in a generally south south westerly direction to point L (Nat Grid Ref 328636 135153), a distance of approximately 97 metres, then from point L in a generally easterly direction to point M (Nat Grid Ref 328644,135153), a distance of approximately 8 metres then from point M in a generally south south westerly direction to N (Nat Grid Ref 328639 135116), a distance of approximately 38 metres then from point N in a generally easterly direction to point O (Nat Grid Ref 328699 135106), a distance of approximately 63 metres then from point O to rejoin the original route at point G (Nat Grid Ref 328689 135027), a distance of approximately 80 metres. The width of the path will be 2m. Copy of the confirmed order and the order map, have been placed and may be seen, free of charge, at Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. A copy of the order and map is available for viewing on request from the North Petherton Town Council. This order comes into force on the date on which Sedgemoor District Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been compiled with, but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
