Somerset County Council C1182 Withycombe Hill (Districts of Sedgemoor and Somerset West and Taunton) (Parishes of Otterhampton, Stockland Bristol & Stogursey) (Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2019 Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after giving notice to the Chief Officer of Police, hereby makes the following Order: - This Order will come into operation on the 24th day of September 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary 30mph Speed Limit on the roads specified in the schedule to this Order. The works are expected to start on the 30* day of September 2019 for 47 days. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order. Statement of reasons for making the Order a) Because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
