HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 The Somerset County Council Proposed Public Path Creation Order in the Parish of Bridgwater Without Public Path Creation Order 2019
On 6th December 2019 Somerset County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create:-A footpath which starts at Bristol Road (Point A on the Order plan [National Grid Reference ST3075938855]) and runs in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 77 metres then in a generally southerly direction for approximately 24 metres to Point B (NGR ST3069038858) where it joins The England Coast Path national trail. The width of the footpath is 3 metres. Copies of the order and plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at:
1 B Block Reception, Somerset County Council, County Hall, Taunton TA1 4DYfrom 9.30am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies may be bought there at a price of £10.00.

The Order came into force on 6th December 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 17th December 2019, make an application to the High Court.
